This is an introductory course designed
to give the student a fundamental understanding of the creation and
appreciation of diverse modes of expression through the visual arts,
within the context of Fine and Applied Arts.
A survey of the art for the past 6,000
years including the methods by which it was created, the
artists who created it, and the cultures within which it was
created. The text is The World of Art by Henry M
Sayre, which includes an interactive CD. (Order
